OUR MISSION

Cresthaven Academy is a K-8 public charter school that exists to provide a comprehensive education to our scholars that develops the whole child through academic excellence, physical wellness, emotional health, and character enrichment.

OUR VISION

Our school is built on the belief that all children, regardless of race or economic status, can succeed when given equal access to a high-quality education. Each of our scholars will be empowered to overcome challenges and equipped to sustain their success in school and beyond.

Cresthaven Academy Charter School first opened its doors in August of 2016, welcoming 75 Kindergarten scholars. Growing by one grade level each year, Cresthaven will be fully enrolled with 675 scholars in grades K-8 at the start of the 2024-25 school year. Since its founding year, Cresthaven has expanded its campus to include two locations in Plainfield, and in 2020 received its charter renewal from the New Jersey Department of Education. The following year, NJDOE awarded Cresthaven approval of its charter amendment application, expanding it from a K-5 to a K-8 school.
